On May 6th 2009 Warwick Mill Meeting Rooms were announced as Winner of the Cumbria Tourism "Business Tourism Award 2009 " Sponsored by Business Link Northwest For any sector offering meetings, conferences and exhibitions, offering an innovative product and high standards of facilities designed to meet the needs of customers.

On the 14th May 2009 Warwick Mill held a charity fund raising evening to raise money for the Lake District Search and Mountain Rescue Association http://www.ldsamra.org.uk/
and for Tsering Yangzom, a young Tibetan girl that Amy Beeton (British mountaineer) is educating. Amy took centre stage and gave an informal yet inspiring talk on what makes a "Winning Spirit" In total we raised over £1600

All those concerned with the evening gave their services for free, we at Warwick Mill provided venue, canapés and refreshments and Amy Beeton and SVL Lighting provided their services free.

Warwick Mill Meeting Rooms operate a fairtrade refreshment policy and offer a 30% discount to businessess who support promote fairtrade.

In early 2009 the whole of the business centre went bananas eating well over 150 bananas in support for "Go Bananas" fairtrade fortnight.

In 2008 Simon Long (MD) successfully completed the Cumberland Challenge. He raised over £5000 for the charity CAN. CAN aims to provide long-term benefits to the poorer people living in the middle hill regions of Nepal by providing schools, teachers, Health Posts, nurses, clean water supplies and community development projects. CAN also endeavours to support and maintain the cultural heritage in each project area. Charity Registration No 1067772
